In New Mexico, the penal code 30.19.1 regulates any and all gaming and gambling within the state. In the state otherwise known as “The Land of Enchantment,” pari mutuel wagering has been legalized by the state, but any and all gambling establishments that are not owned by Native American peoples are illegal to operate. No one in the state of New Mexico can allow their location to be used for any form of gambling, and games of chance and/or skill have been banned. Further, under aged individuals cannot legally play bingo in the state of New Mexico. Currently, there is no ban in place on playing games offered via Internet gambling services.

In “The Pelican State,” otherwise quite fondly known as Louisiana, the penal code 14.90 asserts that horse racing is a perfectly legal wagering pastime, but greyhound race betting is not permitted. Riverboat establishments for gambling are permitted in the state and some physical casinos that are legally operated are established in Louisiana. In order to engage in any form of video poker playing activities within the state, players must be 21 years old or more. Keno games, bingo games, and social gambling are all forms of fantastic games which allow for gamblers to engage in tremendously enticing gambling offers. However, as far as the state of Louisiana is concern, all forms of online wagering are absolutely illegal.

The state of Arkansas does not allow any form of casino gambling whatsoever. The law which bans all gambling establishments is cited in section 5.66.101. The only forms of gambling that is permitted in “The Natural State’s” boundaries are on pari mutual greyhound races. Card games, table games, and sports gambling are all forms of gambling that have been banned within Arkansas’s state limits.

In the state of Wisconsin, one would think that a state with a motto like “Forward,” that the state would be progressive in terms of its gambling laws. Yet, that is not necessarily the case. In Wisconsin, a gambler can certainly enjoy a good game of Bingo, and pari mutuel wagering endeavors are also permitted. Lottery options are provided to residence of Wisconsin and casinos are in operation that are currently owned and operated by different Native American Tribes within the state’s boundaries. So what is the problem with Wisconsin laws pertaining to gambling? “The Badger State” has prohibited any and all gambling endeavors available online for Wisconsin residents.

In the state of Hawaii where the state motto is, “The life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness,” it seems that the law is a bit overly righteous in terms of gambling regulations and prohibitions. The Hawaii penal code 712.1220 only permits social gambling in business or public buildings, and has banned all other forms of the entertainment. This is not the greatest news for residents of Hawaii in search of entertainment, and it is only possible for residents to enjoy land based gambling entertainment from other states permitting such activities. “The Aloha State,” is welcoming in all other senses, but it seems that the state is ousting its own residents when they are in search of fun, entertaining gambling pursuits.

Clearly described in Oregon’s penal code under section 167.108 are the gambling laws existing in the state. Pari mutuel betting has been permitted in Oregon State and dog race wagering is also allowed. Tribal gaming establishments are also allowed to operate within the boundaries that define the state of Oregon. If contests of chance are associated with any prize other than monies, the contests are not restricted by Oregon State law, and charitable organizations are indeed permitted to offer lotteries, bingo, raffles, and “Monte Carlo” style events. In addition, one will find social gambling endeavors are legal in Oregon State as well. So what is not allowed in Oregon? Internet gambling is against the law for Oregon residents.

In the state presently known as “The Old Line State,” or otherwise more commonly known as the state of Maryland, it seems that some fairly “old lines” are still defining the existing gambling laws. Penal code 27.240 allows for horse betting endeavors of every kind imaginable, but as far as any kind of casino establishment, the state of Maryland will not permit it!
