Oregon State Gambling Laws

Clearly described in Oregon’s penal code under section 167.108 are the gambling laws existing in the state.  Pari mutuel betting has been permitted in Oregon State and dog race wagering is also allowed.  Tribal gaming establishments are also allowed to operate within the boundaries that define the state of Oregon.  If contests of chance are associated with any prize other than monies, the contests are not restricted by Oregon State law, and charitable organizations are indeed permitted to offer lotteries, bingo, raffles, and “Monte Carlo” style events.  In addition, one will find social gambling endeavors are legal in Oregon State as well.  So what is not allowed in Oregon?  Internet gambling is against the law for Oregon residents.
