California State Gambling Law

According to the state of California’s penal code, only Native Americans can legally own, manage, and operate gambling sites within the state’s boundaries and there are certain limitations to the types of offerings that California gambling establishments can offer to their guests.  This is a common theme in a number of the states within the United States, especially after new laws restricting certain aspects of gambling online for American players, and in some states it is incredibly difficult to find a physical casino or land based gambling establishment at all.  Of course, in the state of California it is hardly difficult to find a gambling establishment; there are more than 180 different gambling establishments within the legal limits of The Golden State.

Lottery tickets and gaming are not authorized within the boundaries of California.  On the other hand what about online gambling offers?  Can a resident of California engage in gambling online without fear of legal ramifications and repercussions?  Yes, a California resident can legally engage in online gambling offers without getting into trouble with the law.  Governor Davis legalized gambling activities for California residents online in 2002, at least when it comes to horse track betting.  Yet what about other forms of gambling on the Internet?  The thing about the state of California is that it has not established any laws prohibiting online gambling endeavors.

For that reason, if a gambler wants to hit up one of the many Native American owned, managed, and operated casinos he or she can do so, or they can play online gambling offers as well.  Games like Blackjack, an assortment of poker variants, and card gaming are certainly to be enjoyed in any number of land based California casinos.  What are not as prominent are slots and lotteries.  These games can be played online without restriction.  Virtual casinos liberate gamblers in states where there are no documented laws prohibiting gambling endeavors.  Players can play at home whenever they desire for however long they desire to do so, and the player is served up a lot of freedoms in the virtual setting.  Now and again games can be discovered and played online that cannot be readily found in land based gambling sites.  This leaves the everyday California resident calling out the state motto “Eureka,” or “I found it!” when he or she finds an Internet gambling site providing on the spot access to his or her all time favorite gambling pursuits!
