Alabama State Gambling Law

The state of Alabama has a number of physical casinos supplying, for the most part, bingo playing options and limited gaming.  The casinos operated within the state of Alabama are basically owned by Native Americans and are fixed on Native American land.  Alabama has not legalized the act of gambling within the state, but Native American reservations are subject to their own laws and can therefore legally operate the existing casinos within Alabama.  The casinos within the state of Alabama are not taxed by the government because of the laws that separate Native American owned lands from other regions of Alabama.  In addition to bingo playing options, inhabitants as well as visitors in the Alabama region have the option of perhaps playing a few pull tabs, betting on horse races, dog racing, or playing one of a few select slot machine offerings at Native American casinos.

Currently, within the boundaries of Alabama, inhabitants and Alabama visitors have the choice of stopping in at one of seven casinos in all.  This number is relatively small because of the intense regulatory restrictions within Alabama.  Travelers and residents of Alabama might decide to head off to the Creek Casino in Atmore, the Tallapoosa Casino in Montegomery, and the Riverside Casino in Wetumpka.  What’s more, when seeking out dog and horse racing endeavors, travelers and Alabama residents are limited to visiting the Birmingham greyhound racetrack in Birmingham or the other dog/horse racetracks in Theodore, Eutaw, or Shorter, Alabama.  So what is an avid gambler or gambling enthusiast expected to do when they are seeking out popular gambling endeavors like Baccarat, Roulette, Slots, Video Poker, or Blackjack, and Red Dog opportunities?  How can a gambling fan engage in gambling pastimes that he or she favors if they are not available within the state that the gambler lives in?

Thankfully, despite the laws recently enacted which have wound up placing certain restrictions and bans on gambling for United States players, the state of Alabama has no such restrictions when it comes to online gambling pursuits.  This means that anyone living in the state of Alabama or individuals that are visiting the state of Alabama can play online gambling opportunities with a clear conscience.  Even if living in Alabama, if a gambling enthusiast does not have all the fantastic games and slots machines that they like immediately available to them, they can sign up at online casinos that accept the United States players, and have an interactive gambling experience right online from the comfort of their own house.
