Click here to visit Sun Palace Casino! Banking Options: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Gift Cards, eWalletXpress, ClickandBuy, InstaDebit, NETeller, Money Order, Moneybookers, I-point Game Selection Sporting just over 90 different games, Sun Palace Casino finds itself the middle ground when it comes to casino gambling. While it doesn’t have as much variety as the many super-sized casino’s game selections, such as the several hundred usually offered by Microgaming casinos, the quality (graphics, sound, and uniqueness) tends to be much higher. Similarly, while they can’t match the exquisite game quality of a casino such as Millionaire Casino, their larger game variety does a great job of compensating for this. While they have a very basic selection for their table games, with only Craps, Keno, War, Bingo, and two versions of Roulette to choose from. They really begin to hit their stride with their Slots and Progressive Jackpot selections, though they also have a fair amount of different Video Poker options available. Their card game selection is more than adequate, with over 5 different versions of Blackjack available along with several other standard casino game options. Bonuses & Promotions On the surface, Sun Palace Casino appears to have several very competitive promotions available for their new players. A closer examination reveals the truth: The fine print on Sun Palace’s bonuses makes it very hard to get any good benefits, especially when compared to other online casinos. First of all, let’s take a look at their 125% first-time deposit bonus of up to $100. At first glance, this seems like an acceptable deal, though you could certainly find bigger bonuses elsewhere. However, they require you to wager 40x the sum of your deposit plus your bonus amount. While this may not seem too bad, that requirement shoots up to 100x if you’re playing certain games like Blackjack or Video Poker. To make matters worse, if you’re a player from outside of the US and Canada, they “reserve the right” to double the wagering requirement. This would mean that you’re looking at anywhere from 80x to 200x the combined value of your bonus and deposit amounts before you’re able to cash out the bonus money. This is significantly higher than most other online casinos, and is more than enough to dissuade most would-be players coming from places other than North America. They also claim to offer a $500 free bonus to first-time depositors, but this is actually a mere 15% match bonus which you can only receive by depositing with a preferred payment processor. Even if you deposit the approximately $3,350 it would take to earn the full $500, you’d still have to meet their unreasonably high cashout requirements. To make matters worse, two of the three payment options that get you the 15% bonus aren’t available to US customers. They have a loyalty program, but it’s hardly worth mentioning. Software One of the biggest saving graces of Sun Palace is that they’re powered by the Real Time Gaming software platform. While many US customers tend to prefer either Rival Gaming or Vegas Technology software for their ease of use and quality graphics, Real Time Gaming is still one of the safest and most stable casino platforms in the industry today. Sun Palace does their best to highlight the many great features of RTG’s features, but unfortunately they fall short. The graphics aren’t bad, but they’re pretty generic; the sound isn’t much better. It feels like they took the barebones package from RTG and didn’t finish modifying and customizing it. In addition, Mac and mobile users are out of luck, though they do offer a Java (not Flash) browser based casino. Since they do a fairly unremarkable job with their downloadable software, it should come as no surprise that their browser version is similarly bland. Thankfully, their security is very high-quality and reliable. They have the most advanced anti-hacker and collusion defenses on the market, and they’re updated regularly as new technology becomes available. Overall, you wind up with a very basic program that performs its function adequately and without any distinctive or noticeable qualities. Support & Service Sun Palace Casino has a great customer support team at their disposal. They offer toll free phone support for customers in the US and Canada, but members located in other countries will have to dial their long-distance number and pay the appropriate fees. We’ve heard reports of their long-distance support being unhelpful, though their US and Canada teams are terrific. They also offer support via live chat, which works great and is probably the best option for most issues. If the live chat is unavailable, they also offer email support that will get back to you within 2 days usually. Unfortunately, their email support is the weakest link – it’s usually best to either call them or else wait for live chat to come back online. You’ll usually get a generic, canned response, and then have to wait another day or two for them to elaborate and actually answer your question. Their deposits and withdrawals are handled centrally by Real Time Gaming, so you’re always guaranteed quick processing for both. They have a pretty varied selection of deposit options, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting your account funded regardless of what country you’re from. Summary Other than the very dismal terms for their promotions, Sun Palace Casino really doesn’t have anything inherently wrong with it – it does a fine job of serving up a wide variety of the games we all know and love. The gameplay itself is fine, but someone who’s played at a rival casino like Millionaire Casino will note the lackluster graphics and innovation at this casino. The poor bonus programs don’t help much, since players can get larger amounts of money with better terms at other establishments. Their game selection is a comfortable middle ground, and their support team is quite capable. If they’d take the time to really test the limits of their software, and if they re-thought their decision to ruin any benefits of their deposit bonus for non-US/Canada customers with biased terms, Sun Palace could be a truly great place to play at. As it stands, it’s just a thin cut above the average fare. Overall Rating 55% |
